Lynn Maliszewski is a writer and critic. Outlets including BOMB, Hyperallergic, NY Arts Magazine, On-Verge, OSMOS, Whitehot Magazine, and Whitewall have hosted her writing since 2008. She maintains her own blog, Contemporaneous Extension, as a compendium of aesthetic interests, archived exhibitions and artists, and uncensored inferences. Much of her research revolves around an interest in process, intentionality, photography, drawings and prints, Czech modern art, and timelessness. She has held research and editorial positions at the College Art Association and in the Museum of Modern Art’s International Program. She was a 2012–2013 Volkswagen Fellow at MoMA PS 1 in the Registration department, contributing significantly to EXPO 1: Dark Optimism and Thomas Lanigan-Schmidt: Tender Love Among the Junk. She currently works at e-flux, an artists’ space and art newsfeed in Manhattan; has an addiction to dark chocolate; and resides in Brooklyn.
