Contemporaneous Extension

What do my cat, an albino, and flourescent light have in common?

Lack of pigment! Good job, readers! All three components lack any type of hue outside of the gray scale. If you’re in the mood for monochrome, check out Hueless, the most recent show up at Mallick Williams & Co. I recently wrote a small review of the show and the opening itself for Whitewall Magazine. I’m enthralled by Jeremy Kaplan’s curating style and the artists the budding gallery (open since November 2010) has in store. There are a good amount of street artists on the gallery’s twenty-two artist roster but Kaplan assured me at the opening he was going for a big push in the next few months to get both reputable names in and voraciously stimulating material. Nathan Pickett, Lindsey de Ovies, Russell Young, and Faust were some of my favorites from the evening. Check out the full write-up here.
