Contemporaneous Extension

I’ve been meaning to put these up for extended viewing. Enjoy!

‘Pixels’ (by Patrick Jean) was first brought to my attention when Nicky Six worked The Creator’s Project at Milk Studios in June. The event itself melded technology with the arts, getting people excited for the less traditional media and sparks of creativity. I think this video is briliantly conceptualized, and the graphics themselves make me wish I could actually witness such a thing. A girl can dream…

Everybody Street is a documentary film made by Cheryl Dunn to be seen in conjunction with the Steiglitz show at the Seaport Museum. It goes through a dozen or so street photographers who have been rocking out since the midway hump of the 20th century. I personally really enjoy Bruce Gilden and his emphasis on photo noir, the lack of comfort in his subjects, and his shamelessness to get the photo he desires. Looking forward to checking it out.
